A leading life sciences organization is seeking a senior executive to lead strategic pricing and procurement initiatives across a complex, technology-enabled product and services portfolio. This role will own enterprise-wide pricing strategy, partner closely with product, commercial, finance, and operations teams, and drive data-driven pricing models that optimize revenue, margin, and client value.
About the role:
- Location: Hybrid in Whippany, NJ or Pittsburgh, PA
- Compensation (varies by location and level):
- VP: $163K–$243K + 25% bonus
- SVP: $213K–$321K + 35% bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of enterprise pricing strategy and frameworks
- Build advanced financial and value-based pricing models to assess margin and revenue impact
- Partner with product teams to embed pricing throughout the product lifecycle
- Support sales and client-facing teams with deal reviews, pricing concessions, and negotiations
- Lead client and procurement negotiations and oversee governance of pricing approvals
- Develop pricing analytics tools and best practices to drive data-backed decisions
- Build and mentor a growing team (2–3 direct reports anticipated)
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in strategic pricing, commercial operations, or product strategy within life sciences or pharma services
- Proven executive leadership and cross-functional influence
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, pricing analytics, and margin optimization
- Strong client-facing and negotiation experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
