A leading organization in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Vice President of Leasing & Maintenance. This role involves overseeing the safety and maintenance of a large property portfolio, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Field work required
- Shift: Monday–Friday, with on-call availability
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: Standard working hours with some flexibility
- Setting: Diverse environments, including supportive housing and shelters
Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Leasing & Maintenance will be responsible for:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of properties across NYC
- Overseeing departmental budgets and contracts
- Leading renovation projects to meet building code standards
- Supervising maintenance crews and facilities operations
- Developing strategic plans for future maintenance operations
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in real estate and maintenance
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong facilities management and operational leadership skills
- Proficiency in Yardi Property Management Software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strategic thinking and team leadership abilities
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with military veterans
- Strong negotiation abilities
- Customer service focused approach
- Familiarity with property operations and safety protocols
- Background in nonprofit work is beneficial but not required
