A healthcare network in California is actively seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their urgent care team in the San Francisco Bay Area.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 36 hours a week with rotating evenings and weekends
- Setting: 100% outpatient
- Patient population: all ages
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for acute medical concerns as well as offering same-day and next-day access to patients with time-sensitive needs
- Address a broad range of concerns such as chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, headaches, URIs, UTIs, STI testing/treatment, laceration repair, I&Ds, wound care, musculoskeletal injuries, short-term medication refills, acute mental health triage, and time-sensitive post-hospital follow-ups
- Ongoing collaboration with in-office teammates via daily huddles, as well as with virtual clinical teams
- Performing in-office procedures, as needed
Qualifications:
- The completion an accredited FNP or PA program with a national certification
- At least 2 years of outpatient primary or urgent care experience
- Experience caring for patients of all ages, including newborns
- FNP or PA licensure in the state of California
- Great interpersonal skills, a patient-centered approach, and strong attention to detail
