A special education network System in Rochester is currently seeking a Transformation Consultant to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:

- Hours: 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Stabilize and Reform: Lead efforts to stabilize underperforming or at-risk programs or business units by evaluating organizational structure and right-sizing headcount. Implement strategic staffing adjustments to eliminate inefficiencies, align resources with priorities, and restore operational effectiveness, delivering rapid impact through structured reform.
- Restructure Operations: Right-size staffing, redesign workflows, and implement rigorous budget controls to optimize performance. Lead efforts to right-size headcount, eliminate redundancies, and enhance operational efficiency while maintaining morale and productivity.
- Culture Rebuilding: Engage teams during periods of crisis or transition, fostering a renewed culture of accountability, collaboration, and urgency.
- Change Strategy Development: Design and execute change management strategies, including corrective action plans with clear milestones and KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build trust and command respect quickly across all levels of the organization through clear, direct communication.
- Inclusive Leadership: Demonstrate sensitivity and respect when working with individuals with disabilities or other vulnerable populations.
- Performance Accountability: Instill systems and practices that promote ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in organizational change, turnaround management, or operational leadership.
- Proven track record of leading successful transformations in high-pressure environments.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resource allocation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to drive urgency and accountability without alienating staff.
- Experience working with disability services, education programming, and regulatory oversight bodies.
- Proven track record of stabilizing underperforming or at-risk programs or businesses.
- Ability to right size staffing, restructure workflows, manage budgets tightly, and instill performance accountability.
- Skilled in engaging teams during periods of crisis and transition; must be able to rebuild culture while executing reform.
Desired Skills:
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) preferred.
