A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Owner to join their team in the McLean, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap aligned to organizational goals
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog; refine user stories and technical requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with business priorities
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions; collaborate closely with engineering teams and provide informed guidance and trade-off recommendations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product decisions, ensuring productive communication between technical and non-technical teams
  • Bridge communication across design, engineering, and business groups to maintain alignment and shared understanding
  • Coordinate release schedules, set sprint goals, and ensure timely delivery of product increments
  • Define acceptance criteria and participate in testing to validate that deliverables meet requirements and quality standards
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders; evaluate market trends to drive continuous product improvement
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks; proactively address issues to support on-time delivery
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar role in an agile environment.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development or architecture
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
Desired Skills:
  • Advanced Degree
  • Experience with cloud technologies, APIs, and modern software architectures
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking.
  • Certifications such as CSPO or SAFe POPM
