A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Analyst to join their growing team in the McLean, Virginia area.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: Contract
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into technical system specifications in partnership with product owners and stakeholders
- Analyze and test applications and APIs to understand current functionality and identify enhancement opportunities
- Evaluate enterprise and vendor APIs to determine data availability and support system capabilities
- Perform data mapping between systems and support integration efforts
- Create and maintain system documentation, including interface specifications
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, backlog refinement)
- Perform application and service testing/validation
- Troubleshoot system issues using logs, documentation, SQL queries, and testing scenarios
- Collaborate with Business, QA, and Development teams to support delivery and resolve production issues
- Support feature prioritization and backlog management to align with product strategy
- Provide demos and updates to internal teams and business stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of IT experience in Technical Analysis, Systems Analysis, or similar roles
- Strong ability to write SQL queries and analyze data
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements
- Experience analyzing and working with APIs
- Solid understanding of multi-tier Application Architecture and System Integrations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Microservices or Service-oriented Architecture
- Familiarity with XML and JSON data structures
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI
- Experience supporting Web and/or Mobile Applications
- Exposure to external-facing digital platforms
