A premier financial institution in Vienna, VA, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead IT sourcing initiatives, focusing on cost optimization and vendor strategy.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business hours
- Setting: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing IT sourcing strategies aligned to enterprise goals
- Leading preparation, issuance, and management of RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs
- Conducting market research, supplier analysis, and source selection activities
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and risk mitigation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders and vendors
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Significant experience in IT Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management
- Proven expertise in preparing and managing RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs
- Strong experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts and SLAs
- Advanced ability to translate business objectives into sourcing strategies
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting sourcing initiatives within Financial Services
- Category management experience within IT or Technology Services
- Change Management or Organizational Transformation experience
