A health services network on Long Island is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team at one of their facilities in Nassau County.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Afternoon/Evenings
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- Hours: 3pm to 11pm
- Setting: Residential
Responsibilities:
- Providing direct nursing care and managing the plan of care in a residential setting.
- Overseeing the care provided by a team of three nurses.
- Delivering nursing services and supporting residents' complex behavioral and medical needs.
- Coordinating resident care and unit activities with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Engaging in ongoing education and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience (New graduates will be considered)!
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Effective communication skills
Desired Skills:
- 6+ months of experience in Pediatrics and/or Behavioral Health role/setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- National Certification in a specialty
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
