A mission-driven healthcare organization on Long Island is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team in a unique adult vocational training program supporting individuals who are deafblind.

About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Per Diem (flexible)
- Shifts: Evenings or Weekends
- Hours: 4pm to 8pm (Evenings) or 8am to 8pm (Weekends)
- Setting: Campus-based training + residential program
- Patient Population: Adults with dual sensory impairments (deafblind)
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor responses
- Perform basic health assessments
- Support participants with medication education and independence
- Coordinate care with providers and team members
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Provide general health support in a structured, supportive environment
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable in a non-traditional, community-based setting
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with IDD, developmental disabilities, or sensory impairments
- Interest in working with the deafblind community
- Flexible availability for per diem scheduling
