A leading nonprofit public health organization in New York City is seeking a Staff Attorney to provide legal support, focusing especially on contract drafting and regulatory compliance for a nine-month period.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour work week)
- Setting: Hybrid (1 day per month in the office)
Responsibilities:
- Advising on contracts and management services
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Conducting regulatory research
- Staying informed about regulatory changes
- Addressing ad hoc legal issues
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an In-House, Law firm, and/or Government setting
- Law degree
- NYS Bar membership
- Expertise in Contract Drafting and Regulatory Compliance
- Experience with Federal Grants and Government Contracting
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent worker with strong follow-through skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in or familiarity with the Healthcare/Nonprofit sector
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite
