A pharmaceutical company in Utah is seeking an experienced Accountant for a great Senior-level opportunity with their team in Salt Lake City. Reporting to the Associate Director of Revenue, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for participating in the recording and analysis of daily operational revenue accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, SOX, and external audits.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work at least 3 days a week onsite.***
Responsibilities:
- All trade receivables cash applications
- Review of sales to supporting documentation in accordance with ASC 606
- Ownership of the Customer Master process (customer set-up and modifications)
- Ownership of the Customer Price List and customer credit limit reviews
- Order-to-cash documentation and review
- Weekly sales check and reconciliation
- AR Aging reporting
- Related audit support for all above items
- Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures
- Work in a precise and efficient manner and execute assigned tasks within agreed upon deadlines
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant Accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, and/or Financebusiness, finance, accounting, or related field
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel: pivot tables, xlookup, etc
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle/SAP)
- Experience in Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical environment
- Public Audit experience
