A recognized organization is seeking a Sr. Java Integration Engineer (Core Banking) for a remote role supporting distributed application integration with a core banking platform. This position focuses on designing and enhancing secure, scalable Java-based solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize high-quality Java-based applications and integration solutions
- Build and support APIs, microservices, and web services using REST and SOAP
- Translate business and platform requirements into technical specifications and reliable software solutions
- Troubleshoot defects, perform testing, and improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and deliver solutions on time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent education, training, or experience
- 5-7 years of experience in application or software development
- Advanced proficiency in Java, XML, OpenAPI, Maven, and ANT
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control systems
- Experience developing web services, microservices, and APIs using REST and SOAP
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience using incident tracking, project management, or change control tools
Desired Skills:
- Experience deploying EAR and WAR components on WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment
- Exposure to WebSphere administration
- Experience with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, S/390 assembler, CICS, COMMAREA, 3270 green screens, screen scraping, z/OS, or AS/400
- Experience automating deployments or system management with tools such as Ansible
- Experience supporting financial services applications
