A top Fortune 50 financial institution is seeking a Software Packaging Engineer for a long-term contract role in Vienna, VA. This position entails leading End-of-Life software initiatives while managing application lifecycle processes.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Setting: Hybrid (3x per week onsite in Vienna, VA)
Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting full lifecycle EOL software management initiatives
- Conducting software discovery and usage analysis
- Collaborating with teams to execute EOL strategies
- Performing software packaging and deployment using MECM
- Managing application deployments and decommissioning activities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Software Packaging Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Experience in enterprise environments
- Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL, and WQL
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Mac, and/or VDI environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Splunk and/or UberAgent
- Familiarity with InstallShield and Liquidware FlexApp
- Experience with Software Inventory and Reporting tools
- Solid understanding of software lifecycle governance
