A leading technology firm in Carrolton, TX, is currently seeking a Software Integration Engineer. This role involves supporting the SIS team in developing and deploying security solutions for critical infrastructure protection.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: 5 days on-site
- Shift: Standard day shift
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: On-site with travel required
Responsibilities:
The Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for:
- Planning and executing all assigned projects, collaborating with Project Engineering Leads and team members.
- Participating in system installation and configuration on projects.
- Involvement in onsite installation and commissioning activities.
- Assisting with the development of project deliverables, including database and software releases.
- Conducting testing activities on projects.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of relevant experience or 7 years without a degree
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (STEM preferred)
- Experience in application design and implementation
- Strong integration skills with real-time systems
- Proficiency in C/C++, C#, Visual Studio, and Oracle databases
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Desire to learn new technologies
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in systems integration processes
- Bachelor's degree in STEM
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Installation and configuration of networking and video surveillance systems
- Familiarity with software development life cycles, including Agile
