We are seeking an LMSW Social Worker for a role in the Intensive Day Treatment Program located at Dutchess BOCES, Poughkeepsie, NY. This position involves working with children and adolescents in acute emotional distress within a school-based setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
The LMSW Social Worker will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a caseload of 6 children in the elementary IDT program, grades K-6
- Providing weekly individual therapy
- Conducting daily group therapy sessions
- Offering family therapy and crisis intervention as needed
- Facilitating transition meetings involving students and their families
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of social work experience
- Master's degree in Social Work
- NYS LMSW license
- Clinical therapeutic skills with younger children
- Group therapy skills
- Crisis intervention skills
- Strong communication skills
- Effective collaboration skills
- Empathy and compassion
Desired Skills:
