A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager for a role in the McLean, VA area. This position involves leading large-scale, complex technical initiatives within enterprise environments.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (2 days per week.onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of large-scale, technical enterprise projects involving multiple teams, systems, and vendors.
- Driving project execution using Agile methodologies, partnering closely with Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to manage dependencies and ensure on-time delivery.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, schedules, risk registers, and communication strategies.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for executive and stakeholder communication, providing clear, concise progress updates, and escalation management.
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration between technical, business, and vendor teams to align priorities and manage competing demands.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of project management experience, including leading large-scale, technical enterprise initiatives with cross-functional impact
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Active PMP certification
- Proven experience in Agile delivery and collaboration with Release Train Engineers and Scrum Masters
- Experience in vendor management, budget oversight, and multi-project coordination
- Advanced knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies (Agile, SAFe, ITIL, SDLC, Waterfall)
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
