A services company in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is actively seeking a new Senior IT Desktop Engineer to lead enterprise Mac strategy and support platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as the architect and lead for Mac systems within corporate IT
- Handling escalated Level 2-3 tickets and providing guidance to Level 1 support
- Developing runbooks, triage documentation, and troubleshooting guides
- Managing corporate patching for macOS and third-party packages
- Administering and optimizing JAMF Cloud (including Installomator and JAMF Connect)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- JAMF certifications
- Experience in Apple/Mac support platforms
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting (Bash, Python)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Strong sysadmin skills for enterprise-level Mac administration
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a technical, fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience with Apple/Mac environments
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Advanced JAMF certifications (200 / 300 / 400)
- Experience with Okta (Identity Management)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (ticketing system)
