A leading healthcare organization is currently seeking a Sr. Director, Laboratory Informaticist to join their team. This role bridges clinical laboratory medicine with IT to support high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Hybrid (80% remote, up to 20% on-site for critical initiatives)
Responsibilities:
- Aligning laboratory informatics with health system strategies
- Integrating LIS with enterprise EHR and clinical systems
- Advising executive leadership on best practices
- Onboarding new lab systems with minimal disruption
- Analyzing clinical and lab data for improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board Certification in Clinical or Anatomic Pathology
- Proficiency in Microsoft or Google Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Strategic planning and leadership skills
- Subject matter expertise in laboratory informatics
- Experience managing complex projects
- Ability to drive change management
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of Managerial experience
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Board Certification in Clinical Informatics
- Interoperability standards (e.g., HL7)
