A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated
Senior Data Engineer to join their team in the McLean, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:
- Provide Data Intelligence and Data Warehousing (DW) solutions leveraging enterprise platforms and project standards
- Design and operationalize data science workflows in Databricks, including exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and production-ready datasets
- Build and maintain Azure data pipelines using DevSecOps practices
- Develop data integration processes for enterprise-wide use
- Design and build conceptual and logical data models for stakeholders
- Partner with business leadership to gather requirements and develop data-driven solutions
- Create and manage project implementation plans, including milestones and deliverables
- Document technical and non-technical processes for ongoing support and knowledge sharing
- Identify risks and issues during analytics implementation and recommend mitigation strategies
- Manage and manipulate large datasets, ensuring accuracy and performance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, full stack analytics development, or related roles within enterprise environments
- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in Databricks
- Advanced experience with:
- Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure App Services
- Python, T-SQL
- Strong experience working with cloud-based data environments
- Experience with ETL tools and techniques
- Experience designing and building data pipelines, including:
- API ingestion
- Streaming ingestion methods
- Strong understanding of:
- Data warehousing
- Data cleaning and data quality
- Data pipelines and analytics techniques
- Ability to perform basic statistical analysis
- Strong communication and change management skills
