Security Governance Communications Specialist
A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Security Governance Communications Specialist to join its Security Department in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL (Hybrid) . This role will support the development of executive-level communications, presentations, and cybersecurity training materials while coordinating department-wide meetings and process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:
The Security Governance Communications Specialist
will be responsible for:
• Creating PowerPoint presentations and written materials on cybersecurity, fraud, technology, and compliance topics.
• Developing educational and training content to communicate Security Department policies and standards.
• Supporting governance forums through presentation creation, written documentation, and accurate record-keeping.
• Preparing materials and responses for audits, regulatory exams, and internal control testing.
• Coordinating and facilitating department meetings, Lunch & Learn sessions, and community engagement activities.
• Managing meeting schedules, invitations, and calendars across stakeholders.
• Leveraging AI and Microsoft 365 tools to improve efficiency of governance reporting and communications.
• Supporting automation of governance forums through Pega and Power BI dashboarding.
• Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flow documentation.
• Supporting change management activities for Security Standards and Instructions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of related experience, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI) and Microsoft Copilot.
• Demonstrated experience producing executive-level communications and presentations.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
• Cybersecurity or risk management certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
• Experience or familiarity with Pega automation tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle HCM, Articulate 360, or other learning management systems.
• Understanding of financial sector regulations and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of security industry standards such as NIST, ISO, and CISA frameworks.
