A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their schools in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Call: None
- Setting: School (year round)
- Population: 24 students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to children throughout the school day
- Monitor student health status and respond to medical issues as they arise
- Support school staff with health documentation, compliance audits, and reporting
- Communicate with families and interdisciplinary teams when appropriate
- Administer emergency medications as needed (e.g., seizure protocols, EpiPen)
Qualifications:
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Must pass required background checks (including SCR)
Desired Skills:
- 1+ year of experience working with children or adults with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities
- Experience with School-based Nursing
