A leading health services organization in New York is currently seeking a Nurse Supervisor (RN) for their Cape Road Residential Treatment Program in Ellenville. This role involves managing nursing services in a supportive environment dedicated to treating individuals with addiction.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: On-site
- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Setting: Residential Treatment Program
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Supervisor (RN) will be responsible for:
- Developing nursing and medical support staff schedules
- Monitoring completion of medical support and nursing staff assignments
- Supervising care provided by nursing staff to ensure competency
- Conducting orientation for new staff and providing in-service training
- Managing inventory of controlled substances accurately
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of nursing supervisory experience (including 3 years in a relevant setting)
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- NYS RN licensure
- Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG
- Software literacy including Microsoft Office and EHR systems
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule if needed
- Experience with policy and procedure implementation
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of substance use treatment programs
- Strong communication skills
