A nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking a dedicated professional to join its residential IRA in Queens as a Residential Manager, providing support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Sunday to Thursday
- Hours: Between 7am and 8pm (flexible hours)
- Setting: Residential IRA
- Patient Population: IDD Adults (21+)
Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing day-to-day operations
- Supervising staff, including DSPs, nurses, and specialists
- Ensuring compliance with OPWDD policies and procedures
- De-escalating behavioral situations
- Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar setting
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Solid understanding of OPWDD policies
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Services, or related field
- AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with Billing in IRA settings
