A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a new Residential Aide to join their growing team in Brooklyn. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Residential Aide will assist in ensuring the effective delivery of services.

About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: 6+ months
- Shift: Overnight
- Schedule: Thursday to Monday
- Hours: 12am to 8am (30 to 60 min unpaid break)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the area and provide resources to clients
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, stable environment for clients
- Make hourly rounds within and outside the facility to ensure safety and security
- Report and document incidents, crisis interventions, and communicate with the on-call management team
- Circulate among residents, visitors, or employees to preserve order and protect property
- Complete intakes, and property searches as needed, distribute mail
- Accept and log all food deliveries and serve meals to clients. Willingness to complete the food safety course
- Screen residents, visitors, and packages to prevent the passage of prohibited articles into the residence
- Use the company vehicle to transport clients to and from appointments in the community, as directed by program management
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Computer savvy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Experience working with individuals experiencing Homelessness and/or Mental Health or Substance Use issues
