A New York City-based nonprofit organization is looking to add a new Residential Aide to focus on supporting individuals at a housing site, including monitoring the area and providing essential resources to clients.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm (30-60 min unpaid break)
- Setting: Housing Site
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the area and providing resources to clients
- Maintaining a welcoming, safe, and stable environment for clients
- Making hourly safety and security rounds
- Incident management and crisis intervention
- Record keeping and shift reporting
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of related work experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Experience with Narcan and Crisis Prevention
- Experience with Homelessness or mental health issues
