A nonprofit services organization in New York City is seeking a new Residential Aide to join their team in Manhattan, maintaining program stability and providing assistance within the transitional housing setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evenings
- Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday
- Hours: 4pm to 12am (30-60 min unpaid break)
- Setting: Transitional Housing
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the area and providing resources to clients
- Maintaining a welcoming and safe environment
- Conducting hourly rounds for safety and security
- Managing incidents and reporting to the management team
- Keeping records, including attendance and daily reports
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Computer savvy
- Solid documentation skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle stress
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Experience working with Homelessness and/or Mental Health issues
- Knowledge of NARCAN
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Crisis Prevention skills
