A healthcare organization in New York City seeks a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-site nursing services at a new women's shelter.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (40 hours per week
- Setting: Homeless Shelter
Responsibilities:
- Participating in weekly clinical meetings
- Performing intakes and connecting clients to care services
- Acting as a liaison for clients needing specialized health services
- Managing care for high-risk clients with medical needs
- Assisting with medication authorization and management
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA BLS certification
- Experience in mental health or substance abuse care
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Comfort with electronic medical records
- Strong oral and listening skills
- Ability to work independently and interface with various levels of staff
- Excellent organizational skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Additional certifications
- Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR
- Experience with homeless populations
