A community services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their staff at one of their homeless shelters in Manhattan, to provide on-site services to adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Schedule: 8am to 8:30 pm
- Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Setting: Homeless Shelters
Responsibilities:
- Conducting health interviews and assessments
- Administering and monitoring medications
- Entering records into eClinicalWorks EMR
- Working independently with off-site support
- Participating in clinical meetings
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Active RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Experience with psychiatric/mental health settings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- EMR documentation proficiency
- Excellent oral and listening skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Experience with homeless individuals
- Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR
- Experience working with diverse populations
