A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a great opportunity at one of their inpatient psychiatric facilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evenings
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week
- Hours: 3pm to 11:30pm
- Setting: Inpatient Mental Health
Responsibilities:
- Assessing the patients’ physical needs
- Checking and transcribing the Physicians’ orders in a timely fashion
- Administering medication
- Admit/discharge and transfer patients based on a Physician order
- Assisting with procedures and physical exams
- Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
- Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients’ medical records
- Supervising non-professional nursing staff, including drawing blood, collecting vital signs, etc.
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical experience in a psychiatric setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
