About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Flexible, full-time or part-time
- Hours: 12-hour and 8-hour shifts available
- Setting: Inpatient Adult Psychiatry
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, administering, and documenting medications
- Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens
- Facilitating treatment programs
- Providing health education and individual patient teaching
- Completing daily assignment sheets and supervising subordinate staff
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of Clinical Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA BLS certification
- Experience with Medication Administration
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) systems
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Additional certifications in Mental Healthcare
- Proficiency with MAARS EMR
