A health services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing inpatient adult psychiatric facility in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week (rotating weekends)
- Hours: 7:30am to 8pm
- Setting: Inpatient Mental Health
- Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and providing nursing care in a behavioral health setting
- Conducting nursing assessments
- Preparing, implementing, and modifying nursing care plans
- Providing health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families
- Administer medications, observing and recording an individual’s symptoms and care; reporting responses to medications or changes in health
- Assessing the patients’ physical needs
- Checking and transcribing physicians’ orders in a timely manner
- Assisting with procedures and physical exams
- Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
- Collecting vital signs, drawing blood, etc.
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience in a Clinical setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Previous experience working within Inpatient Mental Health
