A residential care organization in Westchester County is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team just outside the Bronx, NY. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide medical oversight, care coordination, and ongoing health management for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 24 hours per week
- Setting: Residential developmental disabilities setting
Responsibilities:
- Assess residents’ medical needs and overall health status
- Coordinate medical care, services, and follow-up on provider recommendations
- Monitor medications, treatment plans, and special medical care needs
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, day programs, and other outside providers
- Maintain nursing documentation, conduct assessments, and support staff education
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities

Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Infection control certification
- Abuse and incident reporting training
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience with OPWDD residential services
- Background in residential or group home nursing
- Care coordination or case management experience
- Familiarity with community health settings and documentation systems
