A Long Island-based nonprofit healthcare organization is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team at one of their residential care centers in Suffolk County.

About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: 3-4 days a week
- Hours: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm (30 hours per week)
- Patient Population: ID/DD (Ages 30+)
Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with medical providers to ensure highest quality of integrated healthcare for people supported in the organization
- Review, modify, and update the individual's plan of nursing care in accordance with medical diagnoses and treatment plan
- Administer medications, ensuring medication is given as ordered and documented accurately.
- Monitor effects of all medications and document as necessary
- Complete all nursing assessments and associated documentation per agency policy
- Perform physical observation of the individuals and complete required documentation in a timely, accurate manner per compliance regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of any information relating to the individuals in the program as per HIPPA guidelines
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the population.
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with the differently abled population
- Knowledge of OPWDD, DOH, or OMH state and federal regulations
