A healthcare organization in Brooklyn, NY is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Day Program team. This role involves both clinical and case management responsibilities, primarily focused on serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Setting: Day Program
Responsibilities:
- Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team, coordinating health care services
- Arranging medical services and issuing referrals as needed
- Providing follow-up on medical issues and conducting staff training in various health-related areas
- Managing communicable diseases through preventive measures and staff training
- Participating in team meetings, conducting reviews, and maintaining documentation
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in community-based health services.
- Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing
- License and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- CPR certification
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Willingness to work at various program sites
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the field of developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of adaptive devices and equipment used by persons receiving services.
