A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team in Brooklyn, focusing on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours per week)
- Setting: Day programming facility
Responsibilities:
- Providing medical oversight for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Conducting routine medical services and ensuring healthcare records compliance
- Supervising medication administration and documentation
- Training residential staff in healthcare procedures
- Liaising with families and staff concerning residents' medical concerns
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Skilled in administering medication
- Proficiency in healthcare documentation
- Ability to provide training to staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Specialized certifications in Developmental Disabilities
- Experience with PrecisionCare EMR system
