A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Cardiovascular Operating Room team, focusing on scrub and circulate duties.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 13-week contract
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends
- Hours: 7pm to 7:30am
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating awareness of individual patient rights
- Providing safe patient care in individual rooms
- Monitoring physical symptoms
- Ensuring consent is complete and dated
- Performing scrub and circulating duties efficiently
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of OR experience
- Current New York State RN License
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- IV insertion skills
- Phlebotomy skills
- Strong conscious sedation experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Additional certifications in Cardiovascular Nursing
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR
