A New York City healthcare company is seeking to add a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to its Adult Home Care team, which provides community-based professional nursing care in patients' homes across the city.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (every other weekend)
- Hours: 9am-5pm, every other weekend
- Setting: Field-based / Home Care
Responsibilities:
- Providing community-based nursing care to patients
- Diagnosing and treating responses to health problems
- Direct skilled nursing in patients' homes
- Coordinating the services of other caregivers
- Developing and evaluating nursing care plans
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license
- AHA BLS certification
- Experience in MedSurg and Critical Care
- Ability to travel regularly within NYC
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Competence in patient assessments
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- AHA PALS Certification (preferred)
- Home Care background
- Demonstrated knowledge of JCAHO standards
