A health services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Addiction Treatment team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Days or Evenings or Nights
- Hours: 7:30am to 4pm or 3:30pm to 11pm or 10:30pm to 7am
- Setting: Addiction Treatment
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive admission assessments
- Dispensing medication
- Providing physician-ordered medical treatment
- Transcribing orders
- Collection of specimens for laboratory analysis or culture.
- Providing health education to clients, monitoring client behavior, and participating in treatment planning
- Handling crisis intervention with clients (psychological, physiological, and behavioral)
- Maintaining accurate and detailed reports and records electronically and/or physically, as appropriate
- Assisting in general client care activities, such as meal preparation & distribution and room preparation
- Performing other job-related duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Experience working in a Substance Abuse / Addiction Treatment and/or Mental Health setting
