A healthcare network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Intensive Care Unit.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week and rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Hours: 7am to 7:30pm or 7pm to 7:30am
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor and assess critically ill patients using advanced equipment and clinical judgment
- Administer and titrate IV medications, sedatives, and vasoactive drips per protocol
- Manage ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and other critical care devices
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, lab results, and diagnostic data to guide interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the critical care team to implement care plans
- Provide complex post-operative and trauma care with rapid response to emergencies
- Educate and support patients’ families regarding treatment plans and prognosis
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Critical Care and/or similar setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Medical-Surgical background
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system
