A healthcare network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Inpatient Pediatric team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week and rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Hours: 7am to 7:30pm or 7pm to 7:30am
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs
- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care
- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning “after hospital care” and delegating to others as appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers while anticipating needs and readiness to learn, about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Pediatric experience in an Acute Care and/or Inpatient setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Experience in one of the following settings: Cardiac, Pediatric ICU, NICU, Pediatric Hematology Oncology, Pediatric Telemetry/Medical Surgical
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system
