A premier healthcare organization is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join its dynamic Inpatient Adult Psychiatry team.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 13-week assignment
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, including rotating weekends
- Hours: 7pm-7:30am
- Setting: Inpatient Adult Psychiatry
Responsibilities
- Assessing the patients’ physical needs
- Checking and transcribing physicians’ orders in a timely fashion,
- Administering medication
- Admit/discharge and transfer patients based on physician orders
- Assisting with procedures and physical exams
- Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
- Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients’ medical record
- Supervising non-professional nursing staff - drawing blood, collect vital signs, etc.
Qualifications Required:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse License
- 2 years of Prior experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
