A New York City nonprofit services organization is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in the Bronx, focusing on providing support to foster care, residential, and juvenile justice youth aged birth-21.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Medical Clinic
- Patient Population: Pediatric/Foster Care
Responsibilities:
- Providing general medical care and treatment per program
- Performing physical examinations and preventative health measures under NP supervision
- Conducting health evaluations, assessments, and screenings
- Reviewing pediatric care guidelines, including immunizations and testing
- Recording physical findings based on the patient’s condition
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with Pediatrics
- Graduate of a School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience with Medication Administration, First Aid, and Triage
- Clinical and Case Management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Certification in Pediatric Care
- Knowledge of EMR systems
- Previous experience with Foster Care, Residential, or Juvenile justice-involved youth
