A nonprofit services organization on Long Island is seeking a CASAC-T to join their team as a Recovery Support Specialist, providing mentorship and day-to-day support within a structured residential recovery setting in Suffolk County.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day, evening, and overnight shifts
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Setting: Residential setting
Responsibilities:
- Guide residents through daily schedules and therapeutic routines
- Provide mentorship related to job duties, schoolwork, and personal development
- Model positive communication and recovery-focused behavior
- Track attendance and document resident behavior
- Provide updates to counselors and the clinical team
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a substance use disorder or residential behavioral health setting
- High School Diploma / GED
- Active CASAC-T credential
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Ability to model boundaries, structure, and recovery-oriented behaviors
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience supporting residents in a structured residential program
- Ability to facilitate activities, team meetings, or shift handoffs
- Experience assisting with transportation to appointments
