A recognized media organization on Long Island is actively seeking a new Quality Control Specialist to join their team in Suffolk County, focusing on the ingest and quality control evaluation of the organization's program materials.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing and understanding industry and departmental quality control procedures
- Providing accurate metadata entries and reports of quality control assignments
- Maintaining effective communication with various departments
- Understanding and properly using all technical equipment related to work completion
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Knowledge of NTSC, PAL, and HD video/audio broadcast standards
- Experience in researching and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with digital file formats and standards
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows quickly
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ relevant work experience in a Broadcast Television environment
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Evertz Mediator platform
- Familiarity with Digital File formats
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
