This role provides direct psychiatric care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and supports evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing coordination for behavioral health patients.

- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with weekend call rotation
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Inpatient hospital
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to patients and coordinate care across the continuum
- Assess patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs
- Direct patients to the next appropriate service and track their progress
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure appropriate behavioral health evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medical screening
- Document medical and psychiatric care accurately in the medical record
Qualifications:
- Licensed physician in the State of New York
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for membership on the Medical Staff
- Knowledge of basic medical and psychiatric terminology
