About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: On-site
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Setting: Behavioral health clinic
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Examining, diagnosing, treating, and evaluating clients and their families referred for psychiatric services
- Administering and interpreting projective tests
- Conferring with clients' relatives regarding illness and treatment
- Delivering comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for referred clients
- Providing ongoing psychiatric care and making appropriate dispositional recommendations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-year experience with dually diagnosed substance abuse and psychiatric patients
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Current New York State licensed Nurse Practitioner
- Strong medical/clinical understanding of healthcare
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to foster positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary team
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make critical clinical decisions independently
