We are establishing a new  Product Management function  to lead this transformation and are seeking a  Data Product Manager  to help define and execute the Lakehouse strategy. This is a  hands-on execution role  that will work closely with the  technology teams  building the Lakehouse and will be responsible for driving adoption, managing stakeholder relationships, and aligning priorities across the Americas Division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lakehouse Product Roadmap
    • Define, prioritize, and manage the Lakehouse product roadmap with stakeholders including Finance, Risk, Compliance along with business areas and Operations
    • Oversee execution in partnership with engineering and architecture teams.
    • Align roadmap with business goals, technical feasibility, and stakeholder needs.
  • Data Strategy & Sourcing
    • Define data sourcing and control strategies to meet business and consumer needs.
    • Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with Functional Data Offices and technology teams to ensure secure, high-quality, and well-documented data pipelines
    • Partner with data providers to determine how to meet data requirements 
  • Adoption & Legacy Decommissioning
    • Drive adoption of Lakehouse data products across the Americas Division. Work closely with consumers to align on integrated roadmaps, prioritization, testing, and adoption across multiple data providers and consumers 
    • Enable the decommissioning of legacy data platforms through migration planning and stakeholder engagement. 
    • Develop onboarding experiences, training programs, and documentation to support adoption.
  • Product Ownership & Data as a Product
    • Champion the “data as a product” mindset across the organization.
    • Define and execute strategies for reusable, trusted, and discoverable data assets.
    • Promote metadata management, lineage tracking, and data cataloging.
  • Stakeholder Management & Prioritization
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Compliance, and business units.
    • Facilitate prioritization discussions and ensure stakeholder needs are reflected in the roadmap.
    • Communicate platform value and progress to diverse audiences.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Establish frameworks for data validation, integration testing, and performance monitoring.
    • Ensure platform reliability and data integrity through collaboration with QA and engineering functions.
  • Change Management
    • Support organizational change as new data paradigms and tools are introduced.
    • Act as a champion for the Lakehouse platform and its strategic importance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of data product management experience in a major financial institution.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering data products.
  • Proven success delivering complex change management projects 
  • Knowledge of asset classes such as loans, SFTs, deposits 
  • Deep understanding of Lakehouse architectures, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
  • Experience with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of data governance principles, tools, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, risk management, and regulatory reporting (e.g., BCBS 239, RWA, CCAR, Liquidity).
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and drive collaboration across diverse teams.
