A dynamic healthcare organization on Long Island is currently seeking a Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee various projects in a fast-paced environment, focusing on construction management.

About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Responsibilities:
- Develop project definition, scope, budgets, and final design scope
- Develop and maintain a schedule; develop a preliminary time schedule and present to upper management and cthe lient for approval
- Provide daily monitoring of design and construction throughout the project until final closeout
- Assist to coordinate activity of other departments involved (telephone installation, cleaning, facility shutdowns, etc.)
- Participate in cost control activities by seeking the most effective method of delivering services
- Participate in planning, developing and implementing new procedures; assist in developing short and long range plans for the accomplishment of goals
- Meets with in-house personnel to schedule work, coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and contractor access
- Review construction documents for compliance with construction standards and site conditions
- Review construction documents for completeness and clarity
- Inspect ongoing construction projects to ensure that work is being done in conformance with contract documents and construction standards
- Compile and analyze statistics and prepare reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong skills in Project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Project and PeopleSoft
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Complex Operations within a Hospital environment
- PMP certification
- Knowledge of Infection Control procedures
- Experience in management of contractors and experience in interpreting construction drawings
