Overview
This role is responsible for supporting purchasing and vendor management activities within the organization. The position focuses on sourcing goods and services, obtaining competitive pricing, coordinating orders, and ensuring timely delivery to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support purchasing activities across multiple programs or departments.
- Identify and communicate with potential vendors and suppliers.
- Review and compare pricing, terms, and service quality to support purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate orders and deliveries to ensure materials and services are received as needed.
- Maintain documentation related to purchasing and vendor communications.
- Assist with issue resolution involving vendors, invoices, or product quality.
- Contribute to process improvements and cost-efficiency efforts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2 + years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with common business software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
