A private practice in Long Island (Nassau County) is currently seeking a licensed Physician, with a Family or Internal Medicine background, for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Suffolk County.
Responsibilities:
- Assess each patient upon their appointment
- Elicit and record information about patients’ medical history
- Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient’s condition
- Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose the condition of the patient
- Administer or prescribe treatments and medications
- Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for the prevention of diseases
- Determine the need for a modified diet and physical activities, and recommend a plan
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients to immunize them from communicable diseases
- Perform surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency
- Refer the patient to other medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for the patient’s well-being
- Oversee, review, supervise, and act in a preceptor role to family practice residents
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine
